The Boise State Broncos aren’t afraid to play anyone, anywhere and anytime, and the season opener proves that to be true.
The Broncos will take on the Virginia Tech Hokies at FedEx Field, essentially a road game for Boise State.
The team believes they are once again a national championship contender, and their high preseason ranking gives them a better chance than in past years.
Of course, a loss in the season opener, or anytime during the season for that matter would immediately dash any title hopes. (Read More…)

Boise State president Bob Kustra apologized to Idaho for comments he made about the school’s culture.
However, he is sticking to his idea that the Broncos should no longer travel up to Idaho to play them in football.
Kustra believes the hatred coming from Idaho toward the Boise State program and school is ridiculous.
He understand that the two schools are rivals but doesn’t think Boise State needs to be attacked so viciously by Idaho. (Read More…)

The Boise State Broncos are joining the Mountain West Conference, a move that could enhance their national title hopes.
The Broncos have been frustrated the past few seasons at their inability to land in the BCS championship game.

Boise State Broncos head coach Chris Petersen has been rewarded with a five-year contract extension worth $8 million.
There has been some concern from the blue turf nation that Petersen could soon head for greener pastures.
For now, it seems Petersen is more than happy being the toast of the town and rolling to double-digit win seasons.
He is 49-4 with three conference titles and two Fiesta Bowl wins in his four years as the head coach.
Speaking of the field, it was announced recently that Boise State will be getting a new blue turf for next season.
